Dr. Nietert grew up in Wisconsin on a small dairy farm, and from there attended the University of Wisconsin in Madison for both undergraduate work in pharmacy and then medical school. While there she was inducted into the medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha.

After graduation from medical school, she and her husband, Russ, moved to California where he went to work at Lawrence Livermore Laboratory in California as a nuclear engineer. At the same time, Dr. Nietert completed her pediatrics internship and residency at the University of California, Davis Medical Center. There she became a board certified pediatrician and a fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics.

While California was lovely, family and friends beckoned them back to the Midwest where they proceeded to raise their children: Emilie (Office Manager of All About Kids Pediatrics), Rob, and Mike. Both boys are Eagle Scout recipients. Russ is working at Argonne National Laboratory in the Engineering and Homeland Security Department.

With all her “extra” time Dr. Nietert likes to read, garden, do arts and crafts projects and try to live a healthy life style by exercising and eating right. Dr. Nietert loves the practice of pediatrics and is honored to be entrusted with helping to care for your family’s precious children.

Dr. Nietert is board certified and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. After working in the Naperville area for over 25 years, Dr. Nietert started All About Kids in 2008. She chose to open her own practice because she believes providing great care to patients means cultivating a smaller, family-like practice. Dr. Nietert believes in the importance of spending time with her patients, being available for one-on-one care, and in the value of providing personal well care and immunizations to keep children and communities healthy.
